What does Larry have to say?

“I make no secret of my love for Henry Purcell. Combining brilliant storytelling, masterful musical form, and unbridled emotion, Dido and Aeneas is one of his greatest works. In 2006, we asked James and André to create a contemporary response to the Purcell masterpiece.  Their understanding of the original and their approach to re-telling the story – from Aeneas’s point of view – was ingenious. A dream come true.”
