Mezzosoprano Frederica Von Stade On Her Glorious Career

For your viewing pleasure, the lovely Frederica Von Stade talking about her life, her career, and the glamour of working at the Met Opera. Von Stade is a renowned mezzo-soprano, with an elegant, effortless voice that is seamless from top to bottom. Some great examples of her singing can be heard below. In the first excerpt, she is singing “Non so più cosa son, cosa faccio,” as Cherubino in Mozart’s, Le Nozze di Figaro, at the Glyndebourne Festival, 1973.
